Dry Application Instructions for SM
Decals (under 10"):
You will need:
1 squeegee or credit card
Application fluid or water with liquid soap mixed in
Masking Tape
Paper towels or other cloth
To Start:
-Pull the decal out of the shipping package.
-Lay on a flat service, using a squeegee or credit card, smooth out any bends or
wrinkles, also work out any bubbles you may see.
-Clean off the surface where you plan to install your decal using a detergent based
cleaner, you can also use a rubbing alcohol, we recommend this anyway as a sure
way to remove all wax and other oil based products from the surface.
DO NOT
USE AMMONIA BASED CLEANERS SUCH AS WINDEX, they will out gas for a few
weeks and may cause your decal to peel or bubble.
1) Place the decal where you want it. Without
removing the backing or application tape apply
masking tape to the top of your decal creating a
hinge.
2) Flip the decal up. Peel off the wax backing
halfway only and fold against back of decal.
3)Bring decal down and still holding on to the
folded part, gently squeegee the decal onto
the window until the half of the total area has
been installed on the window.
4) Now peel the rest of the backing paper off and
carefully squeegee the decal onto the window.
5) Your decal is now secure, visually inspect for
any bubbles and squeegee them out.
6) Finally, gently remove the application tape by
starting in a corner, pull (gently) in the opposite
direction of the corner you started with. (If you
start with the top left corner pull to the right). This
reduces the tension on the vinyl itself and keeps
the tension on the tape.
ENJOY YOUR NEW DECAL!!
Use your fingers to press down on corners or small flares. If
by chance there are air bubbles, do not worry, you can use a
small needle and poke the bubble, don't worry about the hole,
the vinyl will seal the hole after 24 hrs, and work out the air
through the small hole.
